Our Approach
Our experience is that many management fads and organizational change theories are based more on wishful thinking than acknowledging what is "really there". While we recognize there is much untapped business and human potential, we encourage our client to constructively confront personal and organizational realities. We combine a "reality approach" with a "high potential attitude". Building performing - learning organizations requires an acceptance of past and present realities, AND a strong desire to build a better future.
Even the smallest of organizations is a complex network of interdependent tasks and processes. For the organization to perform well, every member of the organization must do their assigned part and help pull the organization together into a cohesive whole. Achieving organizational excellence requires high levels of competency and constructive work relationship. Effective coordination requires people who are willing to work and communicate well with each other. The key to having constructive work relationships is quality communications (You probably already knew that!).
The solution to developing constructive communications and healthy work relationships is to improve the quality of thinking and dialogue between organizational members. We believe the ability to conduct constructive conversations with co-workers is essential for personal and organization success, and must be recognized as an organizational core competence.
A key building block in our consulting practice is a methodology we call "Constructive Business Conversation". This framework forms the basis for constructive thinking, solution finding, problem solving, conflict resolution, and most of all effective communications
Developing Performing - Learning Organizations is based on six Principles
1. Think Things Through: Planning, Problem Solving and Solution Finding
2. Develop Mastery: Competence Development
3. Make Choices and Commitments: Decision Making
4. Maximize Contribution: Performance Management
5. Get Our Act Together: Constructive Relationships
6. Always Learn: Learning and Improving
